Blue Labour thinkers, supporters and activists met at Nottingham University on 5 July to discuss ‘The Strength of Association: in the Family, Community and Workplace’.
The opening address on ‘Nature, Science and the Common Good’, was given by Ruth Davis, political director of Greenpeace UK, while there were four seminars addressed by a range of speakers on gender, challenging left orthodoxy, trade unions, and education, community and family.
The closing panel included Maurice Glasman from Blue Labour, Philip Blond from Red Tory and think tank ResPublica, Jenny Sinclair of Together for the Common Good and John Milbank, professor of Religion, Politics and Ethics.
