The Independent Working Class Education Network and the Ella Baker School are hosting a meeting of political education networks at the Warehouse in Birmingham on Saturday 7 March 2020.
The aim is to bring together a dozen or more key organisations to discuss and showcase their current work and look at overcoming barriers, to find areas of joint working and to build solidarity.
The initiative was inspired by a statement by Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell in 2018: “The Labour movement has a rich history of working-class self-education and because of new platform technologies we’re able to revive and expand on that tradition like never before.
“This work is at the cutting edge of the movement, and I look forward to its radical expansion over the coming year.”
In July 2019, a number of organisations developing high-quality political education materials met for initial discussions in Durham, the day before the Big Meeting.
To ensure the meeting on 7 March is productive, organisers of Political Education Together are keeping numbers to a maximum of 30.

The organisers will then notify you if a place has been allocated. Everyone who registers will have an opportunity to participate in Political Education Together in some way, even if this meeting is oversubscribed.
