The Independent Working Class Education network is organising a Zoom meeting on Thursday 18 April at 5.00pm to showcase the educational struggles that are emerging across the country and beyond.
According to IWCE, “it is clear there are many green shoots of independent working class education and activity emerging – from Durham Miners’ Gala to the Newport Festival; from initiatives to remember the Halifax Action of 1842 to the work of the General Federation of Trade Unions.”
The meeting will give each represented organisation – including the ILP – a chance to outline its work and showcase its achievements.
You will also have a chance to hear from organisations such as Banner Theatre, Townsend Theatre, the Working Class Movement Library, Chesterfield May Day, and a number trade unions.
